In this level the students gradually improve: vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation
The students practice all core skills: reading, writing, listening, speaking
Topics covered in this level: Very simple reading with many illustrations ("phonetic" words only), basic punctuation marks, the numbers 0 to 100.
End product of this level: The students know the alphabet well enough to read phonetic words (words that are pronounced simply as they are spelled, without considering additional rules. For example: boy, big, yes, stand, get, sister) They know basic punctuation signs: period, comma, question mark, and exclamation point. They know the numbers to 100.
