At the beginning of this level: The students might know a few basic English words, such as "hi," "thank you," and "telephone." They do not know the alphabet and cannot read. No understanding of correct sentence structure. Complete Novice.
Topics covered in this level: Basic English vocabulary, mainly using games and different activities.
End product of this level: The students know some basic vocabulary, such as the pronouns (such as I, you, she), some simple common nouns (such as dog, car, box) and verbs (such as go, sit, say). They know the numbers to 10.
